What sort of Medicine Does Dr. Eisen Practice?
Dr. Eisen received his MD at the University of
Michigan and did his residency in Family Practice at Duke. He studied
Anthroposophical Medicine here in the US with
practicing doctors and from texts as well as in Europe. He studied
therapeutic eurythmy, a movement therapy, and rhythmical massage in
Germany and worked with doctors and pharmaceutical companies in Germany
and Switzerland. He works predominately with natural remedies, but has
the training to recognize situations that call for the use of an
antibiotic or other conventional medication.
Dr. Eisen
practices anthroposophical medicine, which was developed by doctors
working with Rudolph Steiner. Many, but not all, of the remedies used
are somewhat different than classical homeopathy. In addition, he uses
herbal extracts, ointments, baths, dietary therapy, massage, movement
therapy, and insight/supportive and biographical counseling.
